多输入多输出雷达使用多个发射天线发射独立的信号,使用多个天线接收回波信号,对回波信号进行分离,相当于形成一个大的虚拟阵列。这里使用二进制扩频码分多址信号作为不同发射天线的发射信号。由于编码相关产生的高旁瓣,传统距离压缩方法不能产生恰当的目标距离像。使用Capon波束形成方法来降低距离旁瓣,同时产生更高的角度分辨率,可用于对目标成像。
Multiple-input multiple-output radar uses multiple transmit antennas to transmit independent signals, multiple antennas to receive echo signals, and separate echo signals, which is equivalent to forming a large virtual array. Here, binary spread spectrum code division multiple access signals are used as transmission signals for different transmitting antennas. Traditional distance compression methods do not produce the proper target distance image because of the high sidelobes generated by the encoding correlation. Capon beamforming is used to reduce the distance sidelobes while producing a higher angular resolution that can be used to image the target.
