社会主义是一种思想运动、政治和社会斗争,其目的在于扩大人类的自由和人类的责任感,并使之具有充分发展的前途。由于社会主义有着这种历史的连续性,因此,不能否认已经取得的民主,还必须作以下三方面的努力: 第一,不为了量而放弃质的要求,虽然量的要求仍然是主要的; 第二,人类是既团结又有分歧的,不管如何,社会主义都应对人类负责。第三,必须注意不要让为物质福利而进行的斗争,牺牲人们生命的价值。 Socialism is a kind of ideological movement, political and social struggle with the aim of expanding human freedom and human responsibility and giving it a promising future. Because of this historical continuity of socialism, it can not be denied that what has been achieved must also be devoted to the following three efforts: First, we should not abandon the requirement of quality for quantity, though the quantity requirement remains the main one; Second, human beings are united and disagreeable. No matter what, socialism should be responsible to mankind. Third, we must take care not to let the struggle for material well-being sacrifice the value of human life.
