Astromed有限公司已研制出两种新型高性能热电致冷式摄像机头,供该公司的超微光致冷式CCD成像系统使用。这两种摄像机均是利用珀尔帖效应对摄像机头中的CCD进行致冷。珀尔帖致冷器由若干个连接在一起的两种不同材料之间的结点组成。电流正向通过接点时,可实现局部致冷,使珀尔帖致冷器上的CCD温度降低。致冷过程产生的热由与致冷器相连的致冷式散热器或摄像机周围水套中的水循环扩散。 TE3摄像头是一个气冷或水冷型小型部件。TE4摄像头为一种和高功率CCD一起使用的较大部件,采用气冷或水冷。在要求灵敏度高和动态范围大及接近水源的场合。水冷式摄像头比气冷式头更适用。
Astromed Ltd. has developed two new high performance thermoelectric cooled camera heads for use in the company’s ultra-micro-cooled CCD imaging system. Both cameras utilize the Peltier effect to cool the CCD in the camera head. The Peltier cooler consists of a number of nodes between two different materials joined together. When the current is passing through the contact point positively, local cooling can be achieved, lowering the CCD temperature on the Peltier cooler. The heat generated by the cooling process is circulated and diffused by the cooling radiator attached to the refrigerator or the water in the water jacket around the camera. The TE3 camera is a small, air-cooled or water-cooled unit. The TE4 camera is a larger unit for use with high power CCDs and is air or water cooled. In the requirements of high sensitivity and dynamic range and close to the water source of the occasion. Water-cooled cameras are more suitable than air-cooled ones.
