Objective To understand the occupational hazards that occur in the production process of natural gas transmission stations, evaluate the effects of occupational hazards prevention measures taken, analyze the risks of occupational hazards in natural gas transmission stations, key control points and the main problems that exist at present, and propose solutions. Methods The field investigation of occupational health in natural gas transportation station and field sampling and laboratory testing of occupational hazards were carried out. Results The major hazard factors of occupational diseases caused by natural gas transportation in the normal production process are methane, other low-carbon hydrocarbons (ethane, propane, butane, pentane, hexane), CO, NO, SO 2 and H 2 S and noise. After testing, the concentrations (intensities) of occupational hazards in workplaces or workplaces were all lower than the relevant requirements of GBZ 2-2007 Occupational Exposure Limits for Hazardous Locations in the Workplace; the noise intensity during backup generator operation reached a maximum of 100.1 days B (A). However, the operating staff did not wear noise-proof earplugs during the operation of the generator. The setting of warning signs for occupational hazards in each process station was rather chaotic. Conclusion The chemical poisonous operation in natural gas delivery station yard during normal production process is classified as relatively harmless operation. However, some equipment has large noise intensity during operation and complexity of accident state and maintenance operation. It is necessary to improve the management of staff and workers Recognition of occupational hazards, unified warning label configuration standards.
