4021大桥北岸3~6号墩均为沉井基础,混凝土数量达15,000多方。这样大数量的混凝土灌注,当时仅有一台16吨轮胎吊机,由于吊距小,施工中吊机需要绕沉井行转下料;或者固定在沉井一侧下料,由人工将混凝土转到另一侧。如果吊机行转,每移动一次,都要重新安装锚固设备。其中5、6号墩位于水中,不可能使用轮胎吊机。如果将吊机固定于沉井一侧下料,不但人工转运混凝土劳动强度很大,还易发生如4号墩由于混凝土偏压,使模板变形,形成“鼓肚子”现象。毛主席教导我们:
