In patients undergoing primary hepatectomy for colorectal liver metastases, liver metastases recur in approximately two-thirds of cases. At present, there are few literatures evaluating the clinical value of rehepatectomy with recurrent hepatic metastases after primary hepatectomy. The authors performed resection of colorectal cancer with liver metastases in 74 cases, 9 of whom underwent hepatectomy for hepatic metastases after hepatectomy. In this group of cases, there were 7 males and 2 females, with an average age of 52 years.
