β辐射强度测量在地震预报研究中的初步应用

使用盖革计数器进行β—γ辐射强度测量和γ辐射强度测量,把两种辐射强度之差作为β辐射强度。在地震前兆探索中我们从1979年起开始进行这两种辐射强度测量,并将两种辐射强度的日均值系统进行分析。研究了七年的测量资料发现:β—γ辐射强度和γ辐射强度与焦作地区的近震活动有较好的相关关系,震前在震中区两种辐射强度具有较一致的异常反应。β—γ辐射强度出现为背景值2.9—3.9倍的正异常,γ辐射强度比背景值增强21.9%—37.5%。远离震中区β—γ辐射强度出现异常,而γ辐射强度却没有明显的异常显示。可见β辐射强度在地震前增强幅度较大,在地震前兆探索中具有较积极的意义。 The Geiger counter was used to measure the beta-gamma radiation intensity and the gamma radiation intensity, using the difference between the two radiation intensities as the beta radiation intensity. In the exploration of the earthquake precursors, we started to measure these two kinds of radiation intensity from 1979 and analyzed the daily mean value system of the two kinds of radiation intensity. After seven years of study, we found that the β-γ radiation intensity and the γ-radiation intensity have a good correlation with the near-earthquakes in the Jiaozuo area. Before the earthquake, the two radiation intensities showed consistent anomalous responses. The β-γ radiation intensity showed a positive anomaly 2.9-3.9 times the background value, and the γ radiation intensity increased by 21.9% -37.5% than the background value. The intensity of β-γ radiation away from the epicenter area was abnormal, but there was no obvious abnormality of γ-radiation intensity. It can be seen that the intensity of beta radiation is greatly enhanced before the earthquake and has a more positive significance in the exploration of earthquake precursors.
