文章认为，社会主义精神文明是社会主义的重要特征，是社会主义现代化建设的重要目标和重要保证。探讨精神文明建设入志问题，对于做好下一届修志的规划和部署，对于提高志书的整体质量和使用价值，是十分必要的。作者查阅了２０多个省市自治区新编地方志的篇目，发现上届修志对精神文明建设记述很少。文章对此作了分析，提出下届修志应增加精神文明建设的内容。文章分为提高思想认识、明确入志内容、精心设置篇目三个问题，对精神文明建设入志的重要意义、主要内容和篇目设置，提出了意见。
The article holds that the socialist spiritual civilization is an important feature of socialism and an important goal and an important guarantee for the socialist modernization. It is necessary to discuss the problem of entering the spiritual civilization construction and to make the planning and deployment of the next revision of the Chi.
