“中美城市化比较国际学术讨论会”是首次在中国召开的中外城市比较研究学术会议。为了了解与会中外学者如何总结这次会议的成果,我们将中美两国学者的综述合编发表。“一、对会议论文的分类综述”的作者是会议的组织者、中国学者王旭;“二、中美城市的发展:比较与教训”译自《城墙与市场:中国城市史研究通讯》第1卷第2期(1996年秋季),作者是美国学者包德威。 “Sino-U.S. Urbanization Comparative International Symposium ” is the first academic symposium on comparative studies of Chinese and foreign cities held in China.
