In modern society, men seem to always live a beautiful life, but according to a recent Los Angeles Times report, in the United States men are four times more likely to commit suicide than women, but only half of men are diagnosed with depression. This shows that many men’s depression is not manifested as sad, guilt, withdrawal and other common symptoms, so people have been neglected. Compared with women, men with depression are more manifestations: recklessness, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, speeding, like confrontation. Unlike women with depression who are overconfident about self, they prefer bullying, scaring, and blaming the people around them. For many men, getting angry is a cover-up of inner pain, expressing a desire to be controlled rather than controlled. William Pollak, a psychologist at the Men’s Center at Macklin’s Hospital in Boston, believes that getting angry is a way for men to cry.
