The 2013 BP World Energy Statistical Yearbook shows that the global energy consumption growth slowed in the past year and the center of gravity moved eastward. As the share of oil in energy consumption continues to decline, the United States will become the largest oil producer in the world. At the same time, the dispute over natural gas and coal is becoming increasingly fierce. Recently, BP Group released the 2013 Chinese version of the BP World Energy Statistical Yearbook (“the” “Yearbook”) in Beijing.
