1986年苏联与加拿大拉发林(Lavaline)公司正式签订了开发阿斯特拉罕含硫气田的合同。阿斯特拉罕含硫气田位于里海北端阿斯特拉罕城附近。该气田是世界上已知的最大含硫气田,开发难度很大。开发工程包括集输83口含硫气体和凝析油井,并将油气输送到处理能力为60亿m～3/a的气体加工厂。
In 1986, the Soviet Union signed a contract with Canada’s Lavaline Company for the development of Astrakhan gas field. Astrakhan sulfur gas field is located in the northern Caspian near the city of Astrakhan. The gas field is the largest known gas field in the world and is difficult to develop. The development includes the gathering of 83 sour gas and condensate wells and the transportation of hydrocarbons to gas processing plants with a capacity of 6 billion m 3 / a.
