The transmission characteristics of a laser with amplitude modulation and phase distortion through a spatial filter are studied in detail using the generalized Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral and statistical optics method, and the selection conditions of the optimal size of the filtering holes in the spatial filter The numerical results show that the size of the optimal filter aperture is related to the system Fresnel number, the beam truncation parameters and the phase distortion parameters of the beam.
