Recently, the collision between the two satellites of the United States and Russia in space has drawn the widespread concern of the international community. Although the specific reasons for the satellite collision have not been thoroughly investigated or disclosed yet, it is generally believed by the international public opinion that this is inextricably linked with the failure of the United States to predict and judge the orbit of Russian military satellites. Since space surveillance is mainly conducted by the U.S. military, whether or not this capability of the U.S. military is really “out of sight” or simply “blind” this time has become a topic of great interest to the outside world.
