研究表明,与对照品种豫麦21 和豫麦18 比较,豫麦51 上部三叶叶夹角、叶向值较小而叶面积较大,基部节间周长和维管束数目明显高于对照,后期绿叶面积大,旗叶叶面积持续期长,叶绿素含量高且下降慢,可溶性糖含量高且灌浆期下降快,说明糖制造多、输导能力强、灌浆速度快,从而使得千粒重高、穗粒数多。这为豫麦51 高产、稳产性显著优于对照奠定了良好的形态生理基础。同时,此研究也为指导超高产品种的选育和高产栽培提供了理论参考。
