《沉默》作为品特最特别,又最具有“品特式”风格的剧作,以它独特的戏剧话语和舞台结构而存在。《沉默》一剧极简的舞台结构,既继承了贝克特式的虚无,又展现戏剧话语的诗性隐喻。品特以《沉默》中的话语构成戏剧空间中的隐喻,暗示了断裂空间之中人的主体性和时间性被抹杀,陷入交流隔绝。同时,断裂空间指向人的生存论层面,品特借此探讨人在空间之中的生存境遇,并将其融入由戏剧话语构成的空间诗性隐喻中。
“Silence” is the most special and most “playful” style play of Pinter, with its unique drama discourse and stage structure. The minimalist stage structure of “Silence” plays not only the Becket-style nothingness but also the poetic metaphor of the dramatic discourse. Pinter made a metaphor in drama space with the discourse of “silence,” implying that the subjectivity and timeliness of human beings in the space of rupture were obliterated and plunged into communication. At the same time, the fracture space points to the existential dimension of human being, and Pinter explores the human existence in space and integrates it into the poetic metaphor of space composed by dramatic discourse.
