《父亲啊,母亲啊!》是日本著名电影艺术家木下惠介根据斋藤茂男的一篇同名报告文学改编的,并由他担任导演。 影片的编导者们目睹当前日本社会存在的青少年的颓废、堕落,甚至走向犯罪的问题,甚为痛心疾首,他们出于艺术家的责任感,通过自己的作品不仅要将这一值得忧虑的问题揭示出来,而且要追根溯源,探索产生这种现象的社会根源和家庭根源。正如木下所说的:“我经常为这些青少年的问题而战栗。……现在与其高谈世界和平、原子战争的问题,莫如先来关心一下我们眼前经常发生的阴暗现象。我是抱着欲罢不能的心情来完成这部作品的。”因此,这部影片一经问世便受到人们的注意,并被选为1980年日本十大佳片之一。 木下惠介是日本当代最有影响的导演之一,他的作品几乎都是自编自导的。自从1948年独立拍片以来,共导演了四十六部影片,他的代表作有《二十四只眼睛》、《亦喜亦悲几度秋》、《楢山节考》,等等,1979年拍摄了《冲动杀人,儿子啊!》。他善于描写日常生活,人物刻画细致,被公认为是一位抒情作家。 这个剧本以一名记者看到的种种情况为主线,基本上保持着报告文学的风格。 剧本译自1980年10月号日本《电影剧本》杂志。
