十三陵水库位于京郊昌平区境内，因坐落在明十三陵附近而得名。水库大坝长６２７米，底宽１７９米，顶宽７．５米，坝底高程７４米，坝顶高程１０３米，最大坝高２９米。水库于１９５８年１月２１日正式开工，４０万劳动大军经过１６０个昼夜的艰苦奋战，于当年６月３０日胜利
The Ming Tombs Reservoir is located in the Changping District of Beijing. It is named after the Ming Tombs. The reservoir dam is 627 meters long, 179 meters wide at the end, 7.5 meters wide at the top, 74 meters at the bottom of the dam, 103 meters above the dam crest, and 29 meters above the maximum dam height. The reservoir was formally started on January 21, 1958. The 400,000 labor force passed 160 days and nights of hard work and won on June 30 of that year.
