１９９３年从散在流感样患者咽拭子标本中分离出的Ａ／鲁防／０９／９３（Ｈ３Ｎ２）亚型流感病毒，经国家及国际流感中心对其血凝素抗原及其ＨＡ１基因核苷酸序列分析，鉴定其为Ｈ３Ｎ２型新变种，被推荐为国际代表株，定为１９９４～１９９５年流感流行季节Ｈ３Ｎ２亚型疫苗株。
In 1993, the influenza A / R / 09/93 (H3N2) subtype influenza virus isolated from the throat swab samples of patients with flu-like illness was tested for its hemagglutinin antigen and HA1 gene nucleotide by the National and International Influenza Center Sequence analysis identified it as a new variant of H3N2 and was recommended as an international representative strain designated as the H3N2 subtype vaccine strain during the 1994-1995 epidemic season.
