The effects of MEBO on superoxide dismutase (SOD) and lipid peroxide (LPO) in experimental corneal ophthalmia were observed and compared with that of 1% DXN. Results: MEBO treatment showed no significant difference in SOD and LPO between the two groups (P> 0.05). Before MEBO treatment, the incidence of SOD was lower than normal and LPO was higher than normal (P <0.05) , But both indicators are clearly superior
