In recent years, the thorium nitrate volumetric method for the determination of fluorine is noticed. In order to determine the end of the titration, it has been suggested to use a variety of different indicators in the buffer solution. Experiments using direct potentiometric titration have not yielded good results. Some authors have designed complex potentiometric titration diagrams and used the low-iron high-iron electrode (ферроферриэле-ктрод) as the indicator electrode. The purpose of our work is to study the potential of direct potentiometric titration of fluoride ions, for which reason it is necessary to study the influence of various factors on the performance of the indicator electrode. We used a smooth platinum electrode in the ordinary potentiometric titration device for testing. Saturated calomel half-cell as a reference electrode; salt bridge with 10% ammonium nitrate solution.
