即使最发达、最典型的资本主义社会 ,社会形态也存在许多混合和过渡性症状。所谓东方社会 ,更是一种混合形态 ,其内部总是不断地产生资本主义因素 ,为向资本主义社会过渡创造条件。在对中国近代社会形态进行概括时 ,有的学者把中国近代社会正常的发展状态看成“畸形”、“怪胎” ,这种看法难以反映中国近代社会的真实面目 ;有的则把资本主义因素混同于封建因素 ,不利于认清封建主义的本质。其实 ,中国近代社会是一种混合型的、多层次的、发展而不发达的社会 ,近代社会的三大阶级结构同样是混合型的 ,这种混合形式正是中国近代社会向前发展的表现 Even the most advanced and typical capitalist society has many mixed and transitional symptoms of social formation.
