肌理作为油画语言之一,在油画的发展历史中占有重要的地位。在油画肌理的外在特征来说,可分为显性肌理、隐性肌理。从表现形式上,可分为具象肌理和抽象肌理。因为肌理也是有感情色彩的,所以随着时代的发展油画家们通过抽象的肌理表达着自己内心的世界,袒露着自己对油画的真实见解,在情感与肌理的世界里寻找属于自己的一片天空。于是在油画的本土化过程中我们要不断地探索创造出属于我们自己的、符合油画发展趋势和特点,又能体现我们民族特色的油画语言。
