OBJECTIVE: To compare the suicide intensity and life satisfaction of attempted suicide without mental disorder. Methods: Attempts to commit suicide in the emergency room were conducted by a psychiatrist using a questionnaire to make inquiries and diagnose mental disorders, grouped by presence of mental disorder, and compared suicide intensity and life satisfaction. Results: 120 cases of attempted suicide were investigated, 39 cases were mental disorders, accounting for 32.5%. Compared with the suicide attempt group without mental disorders, there was a high degree of suicide in the group with mental disorders and a low satisfaction rate of life. Both groups had the lowest satisfaction rate of suicide at the time of suicide and the longer life satisfaction rate of suicides . Conclusion: Suicide attempts with mental disorders are associated with high levels of suicide and low life satisfaction, which may be one of the causes of more suicide or higher suicide among psychiatric patients.
