本文立足于生态翻译学理论,以新疆行政区划名称英译为例,提出应从生态翻译学“三维”之“文化维”与“交际维”层面探讨中国少数民族地区地名英译的原则及策略,以此降低因错译、误译带来的不良国际影响,以维护和提升中国少数民族地区的文化形象和品位,并扩大地名英译研究的视野。 Based on the theory of ecotranslatability and the case of English translation of administrative divisions in Xinjiang, this paper proposes that the geographical names and English names of ethnic minorities in China should be explored from the perspective of ecological translation studies, cultural dimensions and communicative dimensions In order to reduce the adverse international influence brought by mistranslation and mistranslation so as to maintain and enhance the cultural image and taste of ethnic minority areas in China and expand the field of vision of the study of geographical names translation.
