1991年金秋,来自欧、亚、美洲的二十多个国家的六十多位当代杰出的扬琴专家、学者,风云际会于匈牙利佩奇市,完成了世界扬琴史上两件大事:召开首届世界扬琴大会及成立国际扬琴学会CWA。与会者推选出来的三位学会首脑(正副主席),正好代表当代世界扬琴三大体系(乐派):主席海伦莎·维克多莉娅(匈牙利)代表欧洲扬琴乐派;副主席项祖华代表中国扬琴乐派;副主席侯赛因·马立克(伊朗)代表西亚、南亚扬琴乐派。 作为扬琴演奏家、作曲家、教育家,作为国际扬琴学会领导人,中国音乐学院项祖华教授又于1993、1997年参加了在捷克、白俄罗斯举行的第二、四届世界扬琴大会和德国的国际扬琴音乐节的演出讲学,获得成功。 从项民扬琴作品的“曹衣出水,吴带当风”与“画龙点睛,不翼而飞”般的丰神秀骨、生动神韵,从其情溢琴竹、艺超同侪的大师风范,中国扬琴乐派在欧洲乐坛给人留下了无法磨灭 In the autumn of 1991, more than 60 prominent dulcimer experts and scholars from over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas came together in the city of Page, Hungary to complete two major events in the history of the world’s dulcimer: the first world dulcimer Conference and the establishment of the International Dulcimer Society CWA. The three leaders (vice chair) elected by the participants precisely represent the three major systems of the contemporary world (music school): Chairman Helenha Victoria (Hungary) on behalf of the European dance music group; Vice-President Xiang Zuhua On behalf of the Chinese dulcimer music group; Vice-chairman Hussein Malik (Iran) on behalf of West Asia, South Asia dulcimer music group.
