Objective To observe the effects of sea buckthorn fruit oil and sea buckthorn seed oil on radiation skin injury in rats. Methods The experiment was performed with a deep X-ray machine, each time with a dose of 3000 cGy, and irradiated twice, resulting in radiation skin damage to the rat’s buttocks. After animal symptoms were apparent, animals with grade II skin lesions were randomly divided into 6 groups: negative control group, high dose group of seabuckthorn fruit oil, low dose group of seabuckthorn fruit oil, high dose group of seabuckthorn seed oil, and low dose of seabuckthorn seed oil Group and positive control group. High-dose seabuckthorn fruit oil and seed oil groups were applied twice daily at the site of injury, while the low-dose group was applied once a day. The negative control group was sterilized with water for injection once a day. The positive control group was coated with Solcoseryl-Jelly ointment daily. once. The results of macroscopic observation showed that after 10 days of continuous medication, the local erythema and edema of the sea buckthorn fruit oil, seed oil and Sol-coseryl-Jelly group were significantly reduced, and the wound surface secretion was significantly reduced. After 2 weeks of treatment, the above symptoms subsided significantly. Compared with the negative control group, the improvement was obvious; in addition, the wound healing time of seabuckthorn fruit oil, seed oil and Solcoseryl-Jelly group was significantly shortened. The results of light microscopy showed that the skin lesions of seabuckthorn fruit oil, seed oil, and Solcoseryl-Jelly group were significantly reduced, inflammation was also significantly reduced, and the wound was significantly repaired. The results of electron microscopy showed that the ultrastructure of the negative control group was significantly impaired, while the lesions of seabuckthorn fruit oil, seed oil, and Solcoseryl-Jelly group were significantly reduced. Conclusion Seabuckthorn fruit oil and seabuckthorn seed oil have obvious therapeutic effects on radiation skin damage in rats.
