在现代英语中,常用的可表示猜测意义的情态动词有might,may,could,can,should,ought to,would,will,must等。 一、根据表达的语气和把握性,情态动词可分为三类: 1.表示非常有把握,认为“可以肯定”,肯定句中常用must或will,否定句中常用can’t。 2.表示有一定的把握,认为“很有可能”,常用will,would,ought to,should。 3.表示把握不大,但认为“有可能”,用can,could,may,might。 按照语气轻重和对事物猜测的把握程度,情态动词可依次排列如下:
In modern English, commonly used modal verbs that can represent guessing are might, may, could, can, should, ought to,ould,will,must,etc. First, according to the tone of expression and certainty, modal verbs can be divided into three categories: 1.
