摄影师周剑生描述了他是如伺萌生拍摄世界遗产的想法的:“1988年我到日本留学。一天,在银座的路上匆匆行走,突然看到索尼大楼的墙面上挂着一幅秘鲁的空中城市——马丘比匠的巨型图片。我被印加帝同遗址那神秘的景色所震撼,定住脚久久不能离去。心中有个呼唤:‘今生一定要去这个地方。’后来,我知道那是一张联合国教科文组织宣传保护‘世界遗产’的广告片。”从1994年起,周建生历时8年周游世界,将自己的镜头对准人类共同的文化和自然财富——世界遗产。当第二十八届世界遗产大会存苏州召开的时候,《周剑生世界遗产摄影展》也在美丽的苏州同时揭幕。

When the 28th World Heritage Convention held in Suzhou, the “Zhou Jiansheng World Heritage Photo Exhibition” was also unveiled in the beautiful Suzhou.
