长期暴露于镉可造成机体肾脏的慢性氧化损伤。姜黄素作为一种天然抗氧化物,能上调多种细胞核转录相关因子2(Nrf2)核转位,保护机体免受氧化应激的损伤。应用姜黄素激活Nrf2-抗氧化反应元件(ARE)信号通路、拮抗镉所致肾毒性可能为镉中毒的防治提供新的手段。该文就Nrf2信号通路在镉致肾脏损伤中的拮抗作用及姜黄素诱导Nrf2-ARE信号通路活化对机体的保护作用进行综述。
Chronic exposure to cadmium can cause chronic oxidative damage in the body’s kidneys. As a natural anti-oxidant, curcumin can up-regulate a number of nuclear transcription-related factor 2 (Nrf2) nuclear translocations and protect the body from oxidative stress. The application of curcumin to activate Nrf2-ARE signaling pathway and antagonize the nephrotoxicity caused by cadmium may provide a new method for the prevention and control of cadmium poisoning. This article reviews the antagonism of Nrf2 signaling pathway in cadmium-induced renal injury and the protective effect of curcumin on the activation of Nrf2-ARE signaling pathway.
