Objective To study the effect of low concentration carbon disulfide (CS2) on reproductive health of exposed workers and to further explore the mechanism of CS2 toxicity. Methods Fifty male workers (contact group) and 50 non-contact male workers (control group) who were exposed to CS2 for an average of 14.46 mg / m3 for a length of 8 to 13 years were tested for their sex hormones by radioimmunoassay Level. Results The IU / L of serum FSH (10.94 ± 7.35) in contact group was significantly higher than that in control group (7.5 0 ± 5.07 IU / L) and pituitary prolactin (5.72 ± 4.18) ng / L Extremely significantly lower than the control group (6.99 ± 4.62 ng / L); there was no significant difference between the two groups of interstitial cell stimulating hormone and testosterone. Class shifts do not affect sex hormone levels. Conclusions CS2 has caused certain damage to the secretion of sex hormones in contact with male workers, increasing the risk of underlying primary reproductive failure
