In the second half of 1970, I worked as a squad leader of nine classes at Renming Machine Factory, a metalworking workshop under Shanghai Mechanical and Electrical Bureau (Light Engine Company). In October, the staffs of the plant management team talked to him about the recruiting of workers, peasants and soldiers in the history department of Fudan University to solicit their aspiration for admission. “Cultural Revolution ” began, the national university to stop enrollment. But by 1970, the situation changed. On June 27 this year, the CPC Central Committee issued Document No. 46, which approved Peking University and Tsinghua University’s request for re-enrollment (pilot). Shanghai immediately followed the guidelines of “voluntary enrollment, grassroots recommendation, leadership approval and School review ”approach to enrollment in Fudan University,
