Because music has the function of promoting physiological relaxation, people often use the method of listening to music to relieve anxiety. Previous studies of music and math anxiety mainly relied on self-assessment and lack of observation of physiological indices. The alleviating effect of music on mathematical anxiety can be described and explained by perceptual physiological models. After testing, under the condition of calm music and no music influence, there are significant differences in the influence of math anxiety on human beings, but there are no differences in relevant physiological indexes. The systolic blood pressure caused by the calm music decreased significantly, while the irritating music had little effect. In order to explain the differences between these findings and previous studies, we propose a perceived physiological model that reflects the effect of music on math anxiety.
