笔者通过研究,根据主题与民歌的关系,把“中国民族风格”赋格曲的主题分成了两类:第一类是“原始型主题”;第二类是“改编型主题”。所谓原始型主题,就是将原有民歌不加修饰的直接采用;所谓“改编型主题”就是总体上保留了民歌的风格与气质,依靠听觉可以判断出音乐的根脉,但是在具体的旋律音以及结构上又被作曲家根据创作情感与个人风格加以改动的主题。原始型主题运用在作品中的例子有一些,比如汪培元先生的《小赋格曲》、钱洁平老师的《对花》、杨青先生的《小赋格》等等。但是按照赋格曲主题的写作要求来说,这种原始型主题存在一些不合适,因此对其适当的加工改编就显得特别重要。
