The incidence of vitiligo in patients with melanoma is particularly high. Indeed, people have the impression that the incidence of vitiligo increases with the interval between the removal of primary melanoma and the occurrence of metastatic lesions. This situation indicates that the occurrence of vitiligo may indicate that the remission period of patients without melanoma is prolonged, or that it has strong resistance, and it may even be longer than those who find that no metastasis occurs after metastasis. Occasionally, patients develop vitiligo for many years after early surgical resection of melanoma. In these patients, metastases may be accompanied by progressive white spot disease. However, this association does not violate the general principle, and vitiligo patients with melanoma have a longer life expectancy and are better managed than melanoma patients without skin color loss.
