According to Weber M, January 18, 2013 [Science, 2013,339 (6117): 328-332], a team led by Associate Professor Michael Sixt of the Austrian Academy of Science and Technology (IST Austria) confirmed that cells in the tissue along Chemical concentration gradient directional migration. The findings provide new insights into how immune cells find their way through the tissue. People have long believed that cells migrate like this, but have never been experimentally proven. Immune cells continually patrol our bodies to detect the presence of outside invaders such as bacteria or viruses that, in order to accomplish this task, will leave the blood, actively pass through the tissue, and eventually re-enter the circulation via the lymphatic vessels. This new study by Michael Sixt Labs illustrates how these immune cells are directed through tissues such as the skin. People think that immune cells can touch
