OBJECTIVE: To investigate the elevated malaria behavior in 4-week-old Fmr1 knockout mice. Methods Four weeks old Fmr1 knockout mice (KO) and wild type mice (WT) were used to investigate the behavior of elevated plus-maze, and the data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance. Results SMART software analysis showed that the motor, excitability and exploratory ability of mice in KO group were significantly increased compared with WT mice in the elevated plus-maze test, and the time and number of activities in the open area of KO mice were significantly higher than those in WT mice Distance were significantly higher than the WT group. Conclusions The 4-week-old Fmr1 knockout mice have abnormal behaviors, increased motility and excitability compared with wild-type mice.
