Warm forging temperature range between room temperature and the lower limit of hot forging. When the concept of warm forging is adopted initially, the preheating temperature of the workpiece generally tends to be slightly higher than room temperature, so that the usual phosphated-saponified lubricant can still be applied. However, the reduction of the flow stress is often not obvious, and sometimes it is found that there is an increase. As a result, higher temperatures are tried. The main feature of warm forging is that the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the cold forgings are basically maintained, which means that the surface oxidation of the forgings should be negligible. If the heating temperature does not exceed 800 ℃, the heating time is not long, even in the air heating
