Commonly used air-jet hammer mill is the preferred shredder for the production of low-protein aqua feeds for tilapia, milkfish, anchovy and carp. Whether using traditional granulation or extrusion, feed pellets are generally 500um (0.5mm) or slightly larger. The traditional hammer powder system has the smashing characteristics of high flexibility, high durability and high efficiency. However, to meet the requirements for producing different sizes of aquafeed pellets, a dedicated micronizing technique will be required.
