伍迪·艾伦的作品以喜剧居多,悲剧甚少,但是骨子里的悲剧意识却成为其所有作品的美学意识形态支撑。深入挖掘伍迪·艾伦各类作品中的悲剧元素,不难看出他的悲剧风格是自成一派的。缘于无奈、忧患、悲观的悲剧意识,使得他拍摄了大量以生存、生活、爱情为悲剧主题,以女性和知识分子为悲剧主角的电影。与其他电影导演赤裸裸地渲染悲剧氛围不同,他的悲剧浸润在喜剧和幻象的诗意氛围中,特殊的双线叙事和循环结构让他的悲剧电影更具张力和感染力。
