After the 1980s, under the influence of feminism, Australian male writers, who always disliked the theme of love and affection, started to pay close attention to the themes of marriage and family. After analyzing the writing of some of the contemporary male writers for nearly 20 years, In contrast, male writers used the perspective of men’s narratives to depict the darkness and conflict in the marriage of men and women in the performance of the above themes. In addition, their works also lashed out at the stupid and lacking of responsible men. The author believes that current Australian male writers’ interest in the theme of gender relations originates from their concern for social reality and has nothing to do with the impulse to create love literature.
