本文利用天津市居民问卷调查的有关资料 ,重点分析了代际职业流动的总体水平和特性 ,并通过对收入决定模型、职业地位实现模型的推导和分析 ,说明了有关变量对个人地位形成的影响程度 ,进而揭示了社会转型的内在机制。实证分析的主要结论是 :代际间的职业流出率和流入率因职业的性质不同而表现出较大的差异 ,但在大多数职业中存在着较为明显的父子或母女的同职倾向 ;收入决定模型和职业地位实现模型的结果显示 :个人在经济收入和职业地位的实现方面 ,后天性的教育和政治面貌等因素意义较大 ,而父母的学历等先天性条件主要通过对子女的教育影响本人。这一结论的政策含义是 :为了保障人们在社会地位实现过程中的相对公平 ,有必要在制度上保证教育机会的平等
