故事流变研究不能说是一个很新的领域,古人即曾注意到这一问题,但真正现代学术意义上的故事流变研究,应该说是从上世纪20年代顾颉刚发表其关于孟姜女故事的研究成果开始的。虽然顾氏的研究是服务于其古史研究的,有一定的局限性,但其研究路径与研究方法,无疑给后来的学者以巨大的启示。故事流变研究的“故事”可以是历史故事,也可以是文学故事;主要目的也不是还原“故事”的实相,而是梳理故事在时间之流中逐渐蜕变的轨迹及其变形背后的“推手”。因此,从古代浩如烟海的文献中挖掘搜罗出相关文献,进行认真审慎的梳理,并寻绎出细微但重要的变化背后的原因,是此项研究中应该致力从事的工作。本栏目此次推出的三篇笔谈大致可归入中国古代故事流变研究的范畴。伏俊琏和杨晓华《故事流变的特点和研究方法》以大量的实例探讨了故事的分化、研究方法与意义等故事流变研究中的几个重大问题,对具体的故事流变研究具有重要的指导意义;黄果泉《狐精故事的流变及其人类精神内涵的演进》梳理了秦汉、魏晋六朝及唐宋以降三个阶段狐精故事的流变,并探讨了狐精故事流变过程所体现出的由宗教精神向艺术精神的演进;张富春《五通:神祇中的西门庆》探讨了宋代以后小说中的一个民间神祇五通故事的演变,认为五通故事表现了神人间金钱与贞操的博弈。作为当前这方面研究实绩的部分呈现,这组文章从理论到实例、从经典到民俗,多方位、多视角、开放性地探讨了故事流变的一些相关问题。我们集中刊发这组文章,也是希望能以此为契机将中国古代故事流变研究推向深入。
The study of the rheology of the story can not be said to be a very new field. The ancients had noticed this issue before. However, the study of the rheology of the story in a truly modern academic sense should be said that Gu Jiegang published his research on the story of Meng Jiangnv in the 1920s The results began. Although Gu’s research is serving its ancient history research, it has some limitations, but its research path and research methods undoubtedly give great inspiration to later scholars. The “story” of the rheological study of the story can be a historical story or a literary story. The main purpose is not to restore the reality of “story” but to trace the gradual transformation of the story in the stream of time and its Behind the deformation “push hands ”. Therefore, it is the work that should be devoted to this study that we excavate the relevant documents from ancient voluminous literature, carefully and carefully sort out, and find the reasons behind the subtle but important changes. The three articles written in this column can be roughly categorized into the research on the rheology of ancient Chinese stories. The Characteristics and Research Methods of the Evolvement of Stories by VV Jun-tung and Yang Xiao-hua explored several major issues in the study of the tales of story differentiation, research methods and significance with a large number of examples, which are important to the study of concrete story rheology Huang Guochuan’s Evolution of Fox Soap Stories and Evolution of Its Connotation of Human Spirit combs the evolution of the fox-tales story in Qin and Han Dynasties, the Wei, Jin Dynasties and the Six Dynasties and the Tang and Song Dynasties, The evolution from religious spirit to artistic spirit; Zhang Fuchun’s “Five Links: The Sacred Heart of God” explores the evolution of a folk five-pass story in the novels since the Song Dynasty, Chastity of the game. As part of the current research achievements in this area, the article explores some relevant issues in the evolution of stories from the theory to the examples, from the classic to the folk, multi-faceted and multi-perspectives. We focus on this group of articles, but also hope that we can take this as an opportunity to further study the rheological changes of ancient Chinese.
