络合物稳定性问题在无机化学、分析化学、生物化学以及湿法冶金、离子交换、萃取等工艺领域都有重要的理论和实践意义。乙二胺四乙酸(EDTA)是重要的“氨羧络合剂”之一,它不但在化工、冶金和分析化学中广泛地用作螯合试剂和萃取剂,近年来还在医学上作为临床冶疗重金属和放射性元素中毒的解毒剂。金属乙二胺四乙酸络合物稳定性的规律,多年来曾有不少研究,但大多只是一些定性的至多是半定量的讨论。
