OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the value of synovial ultrasonography in the follow-up of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and its association with the clinical activity of RA. Methods: Forty patients with confirmed RA were collected, of which 68 had positive symptoms. The clinical data of 40 patients with RA were collected to calculate the degree of disease activity DSA28. At the same time, knee ultrasound examination was performed. The knee joint with positive symptoms was followed up three times a month. Results: There was a positive correlation between DSA28 scores of RA patients and the depth of the fluid in the supraclavicular plexus and synovial flow signal level (P <0.05). The depth of the fluid in the suprarenoid capsule, Flow signal level and synovial thickness of the three were positively correlated (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The signal level of synovial flow in the synovium of knee and the depth of fluid in the suprapatellar pouch of the knee joint are good indicators of follow-up in patients with RA and in evaluating the activity of RA patients.
