王夫之将“乾坤并建”、“阴阳向背”的解《易》理论贯彻到对《泰》卦的阐发中。他从天道阴阳变化的明和幽、显和隐、可见与不可见两方面,说明天地互易其位以成乎泰的合理性。还提出“大辨体其至密,而至密成其大辨”的见解,认为对立双方是相互包含、相互转化的。并据天道以言人事,力图将《泰》卦所体现的天地之理引申到对明朝灭亡教训的总结,从而对明朝末年“上下暌违、君臣否隔”的现象提出了批评。
