使出浑身解数抢占中国市场,针对目前中国保险业务存在产品单一、同质化,服务手段和水平较低的现状,纷纷调整定位,推出一系列适合中国国情的保险。按照加入世贸组织时承诺的时间表,保险业加入世贸组织的“三年过渡期”已过,中国在2004年底取消了对外资保险公司经营地域和经营范围的限制,允许外资寿险公司向中国居民提供健康保险、团体保险和养老金年金保险服务,并不再限制其经营地域,外资保险公司开始享受国民待遇。而去年,整个外资寿险在中国的保险市场上仅仅占到2.1%的市场份额,这对实力雄厚的外资保险公司来说显然是不够的。保险业对外开放后,中国保险市场将成为国有资本、民营资本、境外资本同台竞争的大舞台。
