金银线,即全线和银线,它是以金银等贵金属捶打成金箔,并将金箔缠绕在丝线上加工而成,是古代宫廷和贵族织作纺织物图案的主要材料之一。清代,宫廷使用的金银线主要来自于宫內穆斯林匠役的制作、苏杭地区制作以及购买的洋金银线,这些金银线通过不同的渠道进入宫廷。清代,金银线被广泛应用于宫廷御用的纺织物上,如服饰、铠甲、武备用品、地毯等,也会被单独利用制作一些如头花、供花等装饰品。清宫在使用金银线的过程中形成了一系列制度和规范,严格控制金银线的申请、派发及活计余料,使其做到尽可能物尽其用。对剩余的金银线清宫往往会采取售卖、熔化等方式进行处理,做到资源的最大化利用。
