We live in an era of frequent interaction with the culture of the other, and the various cultural regions under the conditions of contemporary globalization are in an interdependent relationship. The economic, environmental, religious and political issues in each region are not endemic but rather some sort of issues related to globalization. In order to face and solve these problems more effectively, we need to carefully examine the original “different ” culture, we need to have a multi-cultural and global cultural perspective to overcome cultural differences and cooperate with other cultures. In this article, the author focuses on the concept of “citizen of the world” and the related issues with three important European philosophers, Martin Buber, Carl Jaspers, and Hans-Georg Gadamer. Essential question. The author believes that the effectiveness of contemporary cultural understanding is to examine, understand and develop a new concept of identity, a sense of global identity known as “world citizen ”.
