我区是北京市的一个近郊区。改革开放以来,尽管新校舍和教学设备大量增加,但人们更希望自己的孩子能遇到一位好老师。群众要求的好老师.就是师德高尚,有较强的教育教学能力,能教育学生真正全面发展的教师。于是,一个尖锐的矛盾摆在教育局长们的面前:一方面是社会对教育的期望值日益增长.另一方面是占教师队伍很大比重的青年教师亟待提高。如何解决这一矛盾.尽快提高青年教师的政治素质和业务水平,是局长们的一项重要任务。近年来.我和同事们作了以下几项工作:
My district is a suburban area of Beijing. Since the reform and opening up, despite the substantial increase in new school buildings and teaching facilities, people also hope that their children will meet a good teacher. A good teacher as demanded by the masses is a teacher who has high moral standards, strong education and teaching ability, and who can really educate students on all-round development. Therefore, a sharp contradiction is placed before the education bureau chiefs: on the one hand, there is an ever increasing expectation of education in society, and on the other hand, young teachers who make up a large proportion of the teachers’ ranks are in urgent need of improvement. How to solve this contradiction and improve the political quality and professional level of young teachers as soon as possible is an important task of the directors. In recent years, my colleagues and I have done the following:
